Note: For "League of Champions" (Challenger Division) is a Spring season only activity, see details located at our League of Champions page here. We will use the online system for the first time this year for League of Champions.

Registration Information & Documents Required / Clarifications

1. )  Birth Certificates

Every player is required to have a copy of his/her Birth Certificate on file with the league for the Spring season.

In the Spring season, Birth Certifificates must either be on file or be submitted. If you submitted one previously in a Spring season, you do not need to resubmit. The online registration process will specifically tell you that your registration is not complete until we receive a copy of your Birth Certificate. Please remember the online system is programmed to state that, if you have already submitted a Birth Certificate, you DO NOT have to resubmit.  In the Spring season No registration is complete without a birth certificate either being on file or submitted for new players to the league.

If registering online, copies can be scanned and emailed to informationofficer@lamarlittleleague.com, or mailed to:

Information Officer
P.O. Box 1101
Richmond, Texas 77469

2. ) Proof of Residency

For Spring season players proof of player residency will be checked annually by the league. Every player is required to bring 2 separate proofs of residence (utility bill, driver's license, insurance proof, etc.) to in person registration or the first team meeting.

6.) Directions:

7. ) Uniforms:

In Spring season, registration fees will provide for player shirt, pants, belt and hat. During online registration or via in-person sign-up you will be asked for your child's shirt & pant size. Due to timing of teams forming and play starting, team jerseys (T-Shirt) are a priority for the league to insure they arrive by start of play. If you require a different jersey size other than the one you order and the league cannot find another player to switch with we can order an additional shirt for a fee (approximately $25 tbd as required).

As a guide only, use the charts below to select the most appropriate uniform sizes during the registration process:

8. ) Applications:

All persons serving as a volunteer will be required to complete the 2012 Volunteer Application. Additionally all volunteers wishing to Manage or Coach a team will also be required to complete a Manager/Coach Application. These requirements are not voluntary and every volunteer will be required to have a completed and verified application on file prior to interacting with any League activities where children are involved.

9. ) Try Outs:

For divisions listed below there will be a try-out. The main try-out date is scheduled for Saturday, January 26 (except Juniors - see below). Times will be as listed below. For questions about try-outs contact a Player Agent. The try-out time preference will be asked during registration. Once a try-out time group fills up, that option will be removed for subsequent registrants.

Try-out instructions are very basic, each child will be evaluated for fielding, throwing and hitting. When you arrive at the park please check-in at the Board/Umpire Room located directly behind the concession stand. You will be given instructions from there on how to proceed.

For conflicts or questions please contact any Player Agent but preferably the one for your child's age group, their contact info is on the Board of Directors page.

JUNIORS DIVISION (ONLY !!!): Try outs TBD. Contact the Juniors Player Agent, or the Juniors Division VP for additional information. The Junirs Division Opening Day will be March 8th

10. ) Equipment:

Please see the LLL Equipment Guide located here for questions regarding glove size, bat size, cleats, etc.

Please be advised Little League International has imposed a moratorium on composite bats for Major Division and below. There are some exceptions for "hybrid" bats (ie Composite Handles, Alloy Barrels). A complete list of the currently approved composite containg bats is available here. Additionally a memo regarding this major change in Little League protocols from our League is available here.

Only Approved Composite bats will be allowed per the recent Little League International Moratorium on that equipment.

Question: The online registration system said that my registration was not complete because of a birth certificate, is my child registered?

Answer: Your child is registered. If you have played previously at Lamar and submitted a birth certificate, it is on file and you will not have to submit again. If you are new to the League and have not submitted a birth certificate you must do so before your child can play.

Question: Can my child be on the same team as another child?

Answer: Contact your Player Agent or Division VP, their contact information is posted on the Board of Directors page. In TeeBall and Machine A these requests are addressed as often as possible. Starting in Machine AA - Juniors, there is an actual player draft and these requests cannot be addressed. The coaches can draft or trade for the players.

Question: Can I pick my child's coach?

Answer: No, you can request a Coach but due to the inability to facilitate all potential requests there are no guarantees. You make a request during sign up or contact your Division VP.

Question: I want my child to play up or down from their age group. The registration system will not let me register in the Division I want. What do I need to do?

Answer: For safety and quality reasons we want all children to initially register in the appropriate age group as outlined by the Board of Directors and Little League Baseball. You may request your child to play up/down directly by contacting your child's Division VP or Player Agent.

Question: If my child played last Spring and I used the online registration system, do I have to create a new account?

Answer: No, you do not require a "new" account. You will need to remember the email address you used previously at a minimum as well as hopefully your password. You can request your lost/forgotten password if you utilize the email address you used to register previously. If that fails you may need to create a new account.
